Bay Core Nansha

The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area is a major national strategy personally planned and deployed by President Xi Jinping. It covers nine cities in Guangdong together with Hong Kong and Macao, with a total area of about 56,000 square kilometers. In 2024, the Greater Bay Area population exceeded 87 million, and its GDP surpassed RMB 14.5 trillion, placing its economic scale alongside major economies worldwide. Nansha Bay is located in southeastern Nansha, at the core of the Greater Bay Area.

Looking ahead, the Outline Development Plan for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area sets the goal of building the region into a dynamic world-class city cluster, an international technology innovation center with global influence, an important support for the Belt and Road Initiative, a demonstration zone for in-depth cooperation between the mainland, Hong Kong and Macao, and a quality living circle ideal for living, working and traveling. In its latest work report, Guangdong Province listed sustained efforts to advance Greater Bay Area development as its top annual priority, aiming to build a first-class bay area and world-class city cluster with vitality and international competitiveness.
